SYSCO NM CONTRACT RATIFICATION MEETINGS

To: All members in good standing at SYSCO

Three (3) Contract Ratification meetings will be held, beginning on Friday, April 18, 2025, at 5:00pm, and two on Saturday, April 19, 2025. The first meeting on Saturday, April 19, 2025, will begin at 11:00 am, with the second meeting beginning at 4:00pm. All three (3) meetings will be held at Teamsters Local 492 Union Hall, located at 4269 Balloon Pk. Rd NE, Albuquerque NM 87109 in the downstairs meeting room.

Vidaca (505-344-1925 ex 21) is currently the Business Agent for representing Sysco, Vestis (Aramark), Tran-Service, Bimbo, EVSWA, First Impressions, Greetings Inc., Hertz, Penske, N3B, Triad, NCRTD, and AFT. Brother Vidaca will also continue organizing to help workers who don’t have union representation and the protection that we all get with a union contract.

NM SYSCO Teamsters Overwhelmingly Authorize Strike 4/7/2025 - More than 100 Sysco Teamsters have voted overwhelmingly, with 99% voting to authorize a strike if the company refuses to offer a fair, reasonable, and timely contract.

General Membership Union Meeting May 10th, 2025

4/16/2025- There is a General Membership Meeting scheduled for Saturday, May 10th at 10 am, which will be held at 4249 Balloon Park Road NE, Albuquerque NM 87109. Your Business Agents and Teamsters Local 492 Executive Board will be present to answer any questions you may have. We look forward to seeing you there!

ABF Profit Sharing To Be Paid Feb 19, 2025

2/3/2025 - On Friday, ABF announced that it achieved a 91.2% operating ratio for 2024. As a result, the profit-sharing provisions of the 2023-28 ABF NMFA have been triggered. Specifically, qualified members (generally those employees who were on the seniority list from January 1, 2024 to December 31, 2024) will receive a bonus of 1% of their 2024 earnings.
